Mental health awareness has drastically grown in recent years. People are now more educated and more equipped to discuss, engage with, and tackle the myriad mental health challenges that face people in our communities. Working together with a great team at Rattlers Club, Bradford, we have made so much progress over the past 12 months in raising awareness . Last year I was asked by a close friend Simon, to build an event for suicide prevention UK & Andys Mans Club. The Full Monty was a sell out show with lads from our local commuinty going all the way to get people talking and raised thousands of pounds. This year we "Sing and Support Mental Health" with a Fantastic Karaoke Competition and a £500 first prize also a night for the winner to appear live on stage and support a leading artist. Mental Health Awareness is the focus of this years event and with your help we will "Sing and Support Mental Health" along with our great sponsors and a team dedicated to raising awareness.

Chris Nichols, from Queensbury, a large village in Bradford, does not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes, something which is quite common in the music scene. His "different" habits made him struggle to fit in the industry when he first started out. But instead of hindering him, Chris says his battles to fit in have inspired him to create music that people who have equally struggled to fit in anywhere can relate to. He said: "I don’t drink or smoke so fitting in has always been a bit difficult for me in today’s society." Chris, who shot to fame after featuring on a song by Bad Boy Chiller Crew, says he began singing late in his teens after some friends encouraged him. Chris said: "I fell in love with music from a young age, I used to listen to punk rock with my dad in the car growing up and loved greenday and linkin park.
"I didn’t really start singing until I was 17 or 18 and Ed Sheeran + was the first album and songs that I started singing. I was singing one day at school in front of friends and one of them said 'you know what you’re pretty good you know'.
